I will tell of your wonders.
I will rejoice in you and triumph,
make music to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 9
How beautiful, on the pasture,
Are the hooves
Of the horses
Trotting up the hill,
Tossing
A song of the earth
Through the manes of morning,
And the ropes of boundaries
Where we meet,
And I reach my hand through
The veil of otherness,
Touching the glistening,
As if awakening
From a long sleep
And trying to see
Where the trails
Of dream begin
And where they drop off
This gasp of beauty
And glimpse of you,
Lord.

ReplyDeleteCindy, your posts do what you have set out to accomplish -- and what psalm 9 prays ---- they speak and tell of God's wonders, they give thanks, they rejoice, they make music. "this gasp of beauty" is startling, beautiful in its own right, and pointed and speaks directly to the glimpses we get of God. You are blessed!
