Poem Of Roses

We ourselves have known and put our faith in God’s love
 towards ourselves.
God is love and anyone who lives in love lives in God,
 and God lives in him.
                                                                                         1 John 4:16

And then there are the roses,
finch-yellow,
opening
their poems
into the bright air;

 unfurling
the gathering light
 from the soft stages
of their skin.

Who can recite better
the lines of eternity
in language of the hour

or the proof of God
in the argument
 of their beauty?

 Who can resist
such loveliness
and not bend
to smell
     their aroma of love

opening,
like bird songs,
from the leafy ledges
of night.

  2. Thank you Nancy! You are so kind to me and I most certainly will give you one of the first copies! Our Lord is guiding this and I believe, if it happens, it will be in His time. In the meantime, I try to show up and
    write. God Bless you always.
