So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. Colossians 3:1-3
The blues and the grays of the evening light are shuffling
over the far hills shouldering the heavy shades of night
laying down.
Lingering in snow up to my knees as the old, light-gowns of moon begin trailing across the pale floors of the frozen fields. Such luminous and gauzy pageantry keeps me late, wandering into deeper night where sleep should curl but paces to the astonishing
breadth of the Lord.
May I surrender to Him
like dusk
laying back
into the dark pond
of the dying stars.
