What is mercy
but God stooping low
alongside our suffering
and steep shadow,
sustaining all
in the moment's perfect palm,
our divine dust,
the tender act of His fierce love;
in-breaking light
shattering our world
into every color.
Please pray for my Father-in-law, Jerry, who has gone to be with the Lord this morning.
Thank you from my heart.

My dear Cynthia, my prayers are with you. May God bless your father-in-law, Jerry, with a celebratory welcome into his Holy Kingdom. And may your entire family be blessed with the peace that surpasses all understanding. In Christ, Amy

DeleteCynthia, this is an inspired piece. It is all wonderful! The "stooping low", the "fierce love", the "in-breaking light" (my absolute favorite!!), and the "shattering.". These are intense and mysterious details. I love them all. "shattering our world into every color" is a beautiful end. Peace be with you and your family. May the Love and Light of Christ sustain you all during this time...
ReplyDeleteI am praying for Jerry, and for all of you.
