Come and Watch With Me
Candlelight flickering
their forms upon
the long walls
and blackened window glass;
silence wrapping the columns
one by one
holding the space
opening up
where Christ meets us
in rings of incense
and rows
of wooden pews;
time going out
in His presence
that comes for us
in our dark and falleness
like full moon light
breaking through mosaic clouds
rimming them
as they go.
Come and watch
and pray.
