Visiting My Son In The Cancer Ward

Alleluia, alleluia!
Jesus proclaimed the Good News of the kingdom
and cured all kinds of sickness among the people.
Alleluia!
    Matthew 4:23

The light is low and warm
like a theater corridor
during a show

or the ground of observers
aiming their magnifications
into the vault of night,

the incomprehensible
orbits of sickness
and suffering

through this paradigm
of dust
and shifts of prayers,

breathing, at times,
in rhythm with your
exhales, inhales

as you close yourself
up in sleep
like a great lid on a flaming eye:

leaving me
cupping the darkening
syllables of the unspeakable,

like words glowing in a jar,
a spark of light
waving toward a blinding stage.

My 22 year old son was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on December 9th, the Feast of Saint Nicholas, and is under going Chemotherapy treatments.  He is mid way through his course and the latest scans have shown the cancer almost gone.  The Lord is working His miracle through amazing doctors, advancing medicine and progressive treatments.  All Thanks and Praise be to our Lord God for my son's healing. He has been so astounding and loving to us through this entire illness. I would like to ask for your prayers as we continue forward.  Thank you and God Bless.
