Because we are all Monks and our place of work is a seminary, our work a sacrament, our family a monastery, our home a sanctuary; may we learn what they are teaching us without believing God is elsewhere...

Humility
Whoever humbles himself like a little child
will be greater in the kingdom of heaven.
Universalis: Liturgy of the Hours

“Do not be arrogant”
the rain seems to say
falling with its' multitudes
over the minion equally
speaking
with the dark
through our light sleeping
and brief waking
as it becomes
for a time
the quiet-deep
clouds
calling
to the myriad
hidden
shining beneath
or the whorled tips
of love
touching
the surface of things
or humility pooling
in any impressions
or containers
of self.
