The Lord is my shepherd;
there is nothing I shall want.
Fresh and green are the pastures
where he gives me repose.
Psalm 22:1-4
Repose In God
The miraculous
has come,
once more,
kneeling
on the silks of night,
transparent and deep
star dust shimmering.
A solitary
singing
from galaxies
unraveling
through
the vast vault
of indigo;
and again we are saved
by this love
God is
opening
in our dark sky
of fear
and loss and suffering;
again His offer
of rest,
to lie back
in Him,
The miraculous
has come,
once more,
kneeling
on the silks of night,
transparent and deep
star dust shimmering.
A solitary
singing
from galaxies
unraveling
through
the vast vault
of indigo;
and again we are saved
by this love
God is
opening
in our dark sky
of fear
and loss and suffering;
again His offer
of rest,
to lie back
in Him,
as day
into the glistening
sheets of
night,
as sleepers
into dreams.
