My body shall rest in safety.
Preserve me, Lord,
I put my hope in you.
I have said to the Lord
“You are my Lord,
in you alone is all my good.”
Psalm 15
In The Netting of Dream
Sometime during our sleep
The deer
Like shadows
Were passing by
Dinting the dark
Garden dirt
Softly parting new leaves
And snapping
The dead
Beneath their weight
Beneath
The starlight shifting
A glistening
Shuddering
Over the fallen fires
Of the fields
Like a blessing
All night
While we spun
In the netting of dream.
