White Bluebells

Since you have been brought back to true life with Christ,
you must look for the things that are in heaven, where Christ is,
sitting at God’s right hand.

I thought I heard
a kind of voice
rustling in the confusion
of grass and leaves,
bits of broken trees,
the rogue debris of a harsh-
season's reign.

Though, what uprisings disturbed the evening air
were pale-fluted petals crowding there,
resounding their tender revolution of joy
into the protestations of the dying light,
approaching raid of night,
dark crush of the world
over every silent underground.

  1. This is a neat piece! I think of the age of the romantics...wordsworth and tintern abbey... I just love this piece there is an innocence in its content and fun contradiction in its title. Thanks for this...

  2. Thanks Amy...I had fun with this one. The little flowers caught my attention as I was walking by...I almost missed them but their presence really did speak so to say...They are such sweet and delicate flowers up against a rough world. The contradictions were a given....so grateful for your time here!!! Enjoy!!
